Would someone believe a Raconteur?
Jacob's grandfather was a raconteur, he would always tell him fascinating stories about an island he was placed on during WWII. The stories include many strange creatures or "monsters" which leads Jacob to start thinking his grandfather was crazy. These stories that were told would soon denigrate Jacob. One day while Jacob was at work he got a call from his grandfather whom at the time was freaking out saying "they were there for him" and Jacob just thought his grandfather was imagining things.
It seemed ostensible that has grandfather really did lose his mind until Jacob got to his house and noticed he was gone. Jacob found his grandfather laying in a field of tall grass, bloody and badly injured. Jacob thinks he saw a "monster" that his grandfather used to mention which lead people to believe he was becoming crazy. For his birthday his aunt gave him a book that which was really old. As he grabbed the book a letter fell out and he read it, than he was lead out to believe he should go to this island that his grandfather spent his childhood on. Jacob's therapist agreed he should go there and maybe he can solve his problems that way.

Jacob and his father take a trip to the island which is just off the coast of Wales.
Jacob wanders off to find the house that his grandfather used to stay in. Jacob finds the house and than is taken back to the 1940 timeline where WWII is still going on. Jacob sees all the peculiar children and notices that his grandfather truly wasn't lying about the stories he used to tell.
